1 Peter 2:9
“But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light;”
When we are in Christ, we are given new purpose.
Our old life has passed away and new life begins.
The things that once defined us, define us no more.
But the blood of Jesus becomes our banner.
And this blood-stained banner we must uphold; for it is the power of the glorious Gospel of Christ that is unto salvation for all who will believe.
Not our ability. Not our intellect. Not our self-righteousness.
But the blood.
If we will glory in anything, let us glory in the LORD, and in what He has done.
And not only what He has done, but what He has done for us.
No one else can tell our story for us.
Let’s not allow fear, feelings of inadequacy, shame, or guilt to keep us quiet; for there is power in our testimony.
If you need reminding, take the time to be still and remind yourself of all that Jesus has done for you. And let us pray that He open our eyes to see the opportunities in front of us, and fill us with boldness to share just how He has called us out of the darkness and into the Light.
2 Corinthians 5:17
“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.”
Romans 1:16
“For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek.”
2 Corinthians 10:17
But “he who glories, let him glory in the Lord.”
Revelations 12:11
“And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.”
